Because it’s not enough to know if a traffic source is good, you also have to know if it’s good for your business

And there are 3 ways to know:

How much attention does the traffic source have?

– The views and engagement on 7pm TV are at an all-time high. Hence, great attention.

– Almost all Americans watch the Super Bowl. Again, great attention.

2. Target audience

Is your target audience on that traffic source?

3. Value for money

Always funny when I hear people say things like “this is expensive”

Is it expensive? No.

It’s money well spent. Value for money.

Because they got 300m views in return. 

Compared to Amazon which spent 2X and got only 100m views.

But will you say this one is expensive?

Still no.

Because there’s always something out there that is more “expensive”.

This is why when it comes to advertising and life in general…

There’s nothing like “cheap” or “expensive”. There’s only value for money.

The real question is…

Is this good value for money?

Because it’s better use of your money at that level.

But if you’re at the earlier stages, you test different sources.

BONUS: How Much Traffic Should You Expect To Get In Return For Various Ad Budgets

Just so I reiterate this here, I’ll say the only right answer is to test.

Because the market decides.

However in my own experience, I’ve found that you can average around N200 to N100 per lead if you have a good ad.

And if you’re running an ad to sell right off the bat, you can average around N4,500 to N2,000 cost per purchase.

Now obviously it varies across industries and other factors like the quality of your ad etc. Because you cannot expect to use N4,500 to N2,000 to sell a house or land. If not everyone would have been doing it.

I’ve also generated leads for as low as N15 and have seen people do it for as low as N10.

And I’ve seen cost per purchase as low as N800 too.

At the end of the day there is no “guesswork” or sitting from the sidelines predicting when it comes to business.

You must put your product, offer, ad, etc out there. Because what?

The market decides.
